To illuminate them, we must therefore use , not photons (as in conventional microscopy), but electrons. Scanning electron microscopy shows an image of the relief, and always in black and white. “False colors” could be added subjectively, but I dont want to modify what I see, and chose to stay closer to the truth of the sample presented. I am also a fan of great masters of photography like Ansel Adams, Weston etc.
